The purpose of this Privacy Policy is give a transparent vision of how KC Softwares manages privacy and associated question about data management associated to the use of our website and software.

Data Management

• Data management, associated to the use of our products, software and services is described in the "Data Fact Sheet" below.
• KC Softwares uses cookies in order to fully benefit from features from its website and products. Disabling cookies may alter the user experience and impact some products features (SUMo PRO, ...).
• KC Softwares website uses Google Adsense, which might store cookies. Please refer to Google AdSense privacy policy.
• KC Softwares Forum is based on phpBB, with data hosted on our server's database. Security updates are monitored in a timely manner, when possible
• KC Softwares Bug Tracker is based on MantisBT, with data hosted on our server's database. Security updates are monitored in a timely manner, when possible
• Access to user data is on a “need to” basis. All access to data and systems hosting data requires authentication

Access to Your Information

• Deletion of all data related to the use of our software is possible upon request to our support. All data deletion is irrevocable.
• Deletion of your accounts (Online dashboard, forum, bug tracker) is possible upon request to our support. All data deletion is irrevocable.
• If you contact us we may ask you for additional information to verify your identity. We reserve the right to limit or deny your request if you have failed to provide sufficient information to verify your identity or to satisfy our legal and business requirements

Quality assurance & Bug Tracker

• KC Softwares Bug Tracker publicly share the most accurate vision on known defects for our products and services. This list may not be exhaustive and may be innacurate, in particular for defects which are under investigations or not known. To be considered as shared in "best effort" for community feedback only.
• Visitor must pay attention that information shared in Forum and Bug Tracker may be public (refer to Data Management for deletion/modification requests)
• KC Softwares may suspend Forum and Bug tracker without further notice (security, maintenance, other reasons).

Data related to purchase orders

• Digital River / MyCommerce is our main reseller. For more details on the way they manage data and privacy, please look at their Privacy Policy.
• On top of Digital River / MyCommerce, data related to orders will be retained by KC Softwares archived to adhere with applicable law and business requirements. In particular this is necessary for us to re-issue licence data if licence data is declared lost by customers.

Digital Certificates

• We recommend the use of HTTPS for accessing KC Softwares web site : https://www.kcsoftwares.com
• Our executables (binary) and installers are digitally signed for more security.

Localisation

• KC Softwares is located in France.
• Web server and services are hosted by OVH SAS (France) in a shared servers infrastructure in France with CDN.

Policy Change

• We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time.
• When modified, Privacy Policy as communicated here is applicable from the date of publication onwards, until further notice.

The purpose of this Data Fact Sheet is give a transparent vision of which data (WHAT) are communicated to our servers by our products and for which purpose (WHY).

Data Management information :

• None of the data transfered to our servers by our products is shared with any 3rd party. This is only for our processing purpose.
• Only data which are essential to the purpose of our products are being transfered (Refer to table below).
• Data are linked to a random anonymous identifier (so called "uid").
• You can monitor communication between our product and our server using our popular PortExpert software.
• Unless otherwise specified data are communicated using secured (HTTPS) links (when possible), with reversion to HTTP if HTTPS fails.
• Data in the table below only focusses on main, meaningful data. Some protocolar data (protocol version, checksums,...) are also used to support communication with our server.
