||not sure if it is a good idea since this is a leftover from old version which has to be removed|
Of whom do you expect feedback on this topic?
I too don't consider it a good idea to be decided by the tool SUMo. It makes sense to decide when to display it and when to suppress it. So I prefer this as a configuration option.
And what do you mean by leftover from old version? And why do you mean it has be removed?
It seems that the old version is still present, so no leftover of incompletely removed legacy version. It seems the implementation policy of Opera to handle built-in updates. And this implementation hence provides a way to switch back to former version if the new version reveals non-functional or incompatible. And when not suppressing that SUMo report entry, the user gets a reminder to decide if that legacy version will still be needed or may be removed. SUMo and you may not know how quickly the user may detect and decide that the latest version is ok and which legacy versions are no longer needed.
But with such a kind of additional information, I still feel the urgence of introducing hierarchical reporting and grouping in reporting to better cope with the volume of information.
