Software with two supported version

Post by storageeer »

Currently, there are some softwares that have two (or even more ?) supported versions in the same time at a time. One good example would be LibreOffice*: the 3.6.x branch and the 4.0.x are both supported.
Are there any future plans to support these release/support methods, or SUMo goes strictly with the "latest stable released" principle?

* there is a version bump ATM resulting in a temporary case of 3 supported versions: 3.5.x | 3.6.x | 4.0.x
