Comcast server requires ssl and getting no response

Post by sedeight »

Comcast server appears to be non responsive to requests. i do notice that the server requires ssl and I have tried to enable smtp loging as well as the required authentication, but no messages get sent on either test or an attempt to send a test email group. Any ideas????? Just trying to get a workaround with their 100 person maximum per email and thought this would do the trick.

Found a work around. They use a different port for non SSL transmissions! YEAH! They use port 587. So you can consider this request solved. just took some further reading on their site about server configurations.

Thanks for the quick response!

Ron
