Sumo hängt

Post by Pummel »

Ich bin neu hier im Forum und habe mit dem o.g. Programm ein Problem und hoffe, ihr könnt mir weiterhelfen.
Mein System: Notebook Windows 10 Home 64bit, 21H2
Habe Sumo schon mehrmals neu installiert, Problem bleibt.
Es geht um sumo_lite5.14.8.515 und einige Vorversionen, bei denen das auch war.

Hello,

Thanks for reporting
Is it similar to this very rare bug under investigation ? https://www.kcsoftwares.com/bugs/view.php?id=6841

And just to add, this is the same error that I posted about here in April 2021:

viewtopic.php?p=6819#p6819

I wonder do these other users have Windowblinds installed? (which I thought in my post might be causing the error)
This flash error does not appear everytime Sumo starts. I would say it happens around 50% of the time. And as I stated in my post, you can create a folder at C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash as a temporary workaround to stop the error appearing.

You confirm that creating "C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash" solves the problem at 100% ?

I don't have installed WindowsBlind or another virus scanner (only Windows Defender) or cleaner.
The problem persists

Yes, I can confirm that creating the folder "C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash" does solve the error but it's a quick and dirty solution because you can still see just for an instant the window titled "Flash (C:\Windows\System 32\Macr..." popping up but then it closes itself and Sumo continues to work as it should, with a window titled "Loading" popping up then closing. Sumo then lists the installed products as normal.

It is a workaround insofar as with this folder created Sumo no longer freezes when the Flash window popsup. So it works 100% of the time but it is not a 100% solution as this Flash window still popsup, if only for an instant before it closes itself.

With regard to the ongoing investigation, it is impossible to add this folder to the list of folders to be excluded from scanning as the Macromed folder does not show up when you try to add the Flash folder in the "Browse for Folder" window. I do not have Macromed hidden.
My OS was reinstalled in March 2022 and I have never installed Flash since reinstalling.
An uninstall of Sumo, removing the KC Softwares folder in the user's account Appdata folder, removing leftovers using Revo Uninstaller Pro then fresh installing fails to solve the error.

May I have 2 SUMo logs : one with the folder present and one with this folder missing and leading to the issue ?

Here are the logs.
I notice that with debug mode turned on and there is no flash folder created, that Sumo will not freeze, ie the flash window does not popup, so I have included an extra log file with debug mode turned off and no flash folder to show that Sumo freezes.
