Re: How does DUMO work?
I'll see if making it customizable make sense.
Re: How does DUMO work?
I just changed of standard user to registered Pro user. So I configured DUMo Pro to not directly link to driver manufacturer site as I fear automatic update without asking my confirmation. So I get the different look and DUMo server. I see some kind of stats of DUMo users having which versions detected of the same driver and the current flag as determined by DUMo server algorythm. But I can't find a user flag as I'm used by SUMo server. Doesn't such a user flag exist? Or does it mean that the corresponding record has already expired needing a refresh by requesting a local update?Kyle_Katarn wrote: ↑Thu Jun 16, 2016 10:24 pm DUMo aims at being quite straight forward....
PRO version :
- removed "puchase now" reminder
- allow direct link to driver manufacturer site, skipping both DUMo page & Google search
Are you a registered user ?
When I repeat the local check action in DUMo Pro and repeat DUMo server lookup, I still don't get a user flag for a selected entry in the DUMo report claimed no longer up to date.

Re: How does DUMO work?
Good point... it's not working a expected. Should be like SUMo.
Would you please open a bug report for this ?

Re: How does DUMO work?
I've created issue https://www.kcsoftwares.com/bugs/view.php?id=5711 for this purpose. I've classified as feature request instead of bug report because my expectation wasn't promised. So my argument is for aligning with behaviour for SUMo server.
Didn't repeat my above remark about expire and refresh. And didn't include a link to this forum post neither.
And do you want another feature request for missing contextual refresh in DUMo?
I only see a refresh all while SUMo provides in addition a selective recheck.

Re: How does DUMO work?
Thanks ! Regarding selective refresh, I thought a Mantis issue was already open for this... Have you checked ?
Re: How does DUMO work?
No, I didn't check before. And after checking, couldn't either find an issue on selective refresh or only claimed solved issue.
And another observation with DUMo server is that the link on the driver publisher seems to lead to an http error code 404, at least for the well known publisher Intel.
