I'm a new user of KCleaner. It looks like a good product but I'm unsure how to delete an individual file or a specified group of files securely. I can see that the program cleans all kinds of background files, but I don't see how to select one file at a time for secure deletion. Is there any way to drag and drop files into the main window that allows you to analyze and clean? Or is the recommended method simply to use Windows to delete and KCleaner to clean the recycle bin?
I'm trying to clean an old hard drive before sending it to a depot for recycling.
Thank you for any advice you can provide!
Jake

Re: How to securely delete individual files
We are working on a new product called "Zer0" that will securely delete file selected by users.
Do you want to give a try to its beta version ?

Sure, I'd be happy to try the beta version. However, for my immediate purposes, I need a utility that will run under windows 98. I'm not sure if the new product would do that.
Does KCleaner securely delete files from the Windows 98 recycle bin? If so, that might be the way to go - at least for the immediate problem I have with an old hard drive.

KCleaner does not apply secured deletion o recycle bin (unlike other files being removed)jakebro wrote:Sure, I'd be happy to try the beta version. However, for my immediate purposes, I need a utility that will run under windows 98. I'm not sure if the new product would do that.
